Volpi welcomes Marco Marcelletti as its new Head of Operations reporting to Stephen Chabot, Volpi’s Chief Operating Officer.

Marco worked for ten years in roles with increasing responsibility at Bombardier Transportation GmbH. During his time at Bombardier Transportation he led process- and material cost saving projects involving national and international teams. Marco participated significantly in the adoption of LEAN and the subsequent work as LEAN and IRIS Auditor. Furthermore he was responsible as a “Master Black Belt” in Six Sigma for the continuous improvement processes, the introduction and control of Six Sigma, LEAN and Idea Management in the international business environments of the division.

Marco has additionally worked at firms including  Q-Cell AG, Alstom Grid AG and Zimmer GmbH. Most recently he was Vice President Operations and SHE Officer for Mathys AG in Bettlach, leading production departments with more than 400 employees.

In addition to Marco’s senior operation management positions with P & L responsibilities, he was dealing with Operational Excellence, Engineering, Quality and Services in the medical device, -energy and transportation industry for more than 23 years focusing on strategies, programming, framing, monitoring and tracking as well as process management and quality.

Marco is an Electrical Engineer by education and earned his Diploma from the University Kassel (Germany). In addition, he studied Business Administration at the International Business School Zurich and hold a CAS – Certification of Advanced Studies in Lean and Process Management at the HWZ University Zurich (Switzerland).
