Your Tasks:

  • Responsibility for the successful planning, execution, and closing of projects with respect to scope, time, and cost
  • Perform the project management role in a strong matrix organization with a Project Management Office
  • Most projects will be product development projects, technically sophisticated solutions tailored to customer needs from idea to serial production. A minor part of the projects will be organizational or infrastructure projects
  • Create customer value by understanding the requirements and the constraints and bring them together
  • Support bidding team during quotation process by defining the project management plan covering scope, time and cost based on the stakeholder inputs and the ISO13485 certified Volpi processes
  • Execute projects by creating a motivated project team, directing the work, monitoring and controlling the progress, managing risks and changes, managing stakeholders, reporting to the Head of PMO
  • Close projects by assuring fulfillment and getting formal acceptance
  • Continuously improve the project management processes

Your Profile:

  • More than 5 years work experience in project management
  • Strong customer orientation in combination with excellent intercultural communication skills
  • Strong self-motivation combined with a strong personal responsibility, a high degree of reliability, and a high quality awareness
  • Experience in using project management software, ideally MS Project
  • Ideally, experience in product development projects in the Life Sciences, in-vitro diagnostics or medical industry (ISO 13485)
  • Ideally, technical expertise in optical metrology, mechatronics, manufacturing, and/or bio-medical chemistry
  • Project management certification preferred (PMP or equivalent)
  • Higher university degree, preferred in engineering or bio-medical science
  • Very good command of spoken and written German and English
